"Made for spirituality, we wallow in introspection. Made for joy, we settle for pleasure. Made for justice, we clamor for vengeance. Made for relationship, we insist on our own way. Made for beauty, we are satisfied with sentiment. But new creation has already begun. The sun has begun to rise. Christians are called to leave behind, in the tomb of Jesus Christ, all that belongs to the brokenness and incompleteness of the present world ... That, quite simply, is what it means to be Christian: to follow Jesus Christ into the new world, God's new world, which he has thrown open before us."

  1. Long lost blog friend :] I am so filled with joy reading that you are back, as you, and not as who others want you to be. I still look forward to following along with your adventures, learning from you, and encouraging you!!

This quote is so refreshing. And so full of truth. Really a great thought provoker and conversation starter. Writing it in my journal for reflection. Thanks for sharing and thanks for coming back and being you!

PS. I've been in Colorado for the past year. But I'm moving back to sgf in May. I'll have to stop by and test out those NY bagels (I'm from NY...so I might end up spending far too much time there ;] ) and of course say hi!

  2. Colorado Springs :) it's been a beautiful adventure. I've learned so much being somewhere so unfamiliar. But I'm ready to be back with some familiarity and close friends. MO will only be a one or two year stop so I'm going to try and make the most of it :)
