I have been blogging for 6 months now. Telling Oceans has turned into something much different than I expected. I had a long list of ideas, tons of passion, and a lot of wisdom from friends on how to blog.
In just 6 short months, what I desire for this blog has much changed. Let me tell you how:
When I started blogging, I wanted an outlet to be creative, and a place to share the stories of regular people. I had a lot of goals and expectations for myself, good resources, and free time. I was so excited. I planned and had numerous coffee dates with Kinsey to learn some blogger basics.
Then life happened.
I was a full time wife and student, part time waitress, intern, and blogger. I was devoting a lot of time to fulfilling goals I made for myself, allowing it to creep into my top priorities. I mean, I would LOVE to blog as a full time thing. But this stage in my life has limited it to a hobby. I will no longer stress if I can not blog in a week. I will not brand myself as a "diy blogger." In fact, I'm not a lifestyle blogger, craft blogger, photographer, fashion guru, chef, or anything quite extraordinary. I love my life and I love sharing with people. I love telling stories. I love wearing fun things and nesting my little apartment. And most of all, I want to get to know you.
The most fulfilling part of this journey has been meeting the sweetest people from all over the world. So many girls have reached out and we have become friends.
